Conservation

 Northern Arizona Flycasters has an additional partner with Trout Unlimited Grand Canyon Chapter on conservation efforts. Our conservation work is done in cooperation with the Arizona Game and Fish Department and U.S. Forest Service. Recent conservation efforts have included sinking trees (fish condos) into Dogtown Lake and trekking buckets of native Gila Trout into the West Fork Oak Creek. Currently we are assisting Arizona Game and Fish Department to gather Creel Survey data at stillwaters locations. We are exploring several ideas with our partners including sinking tree into Kinnikinick Lake, refurbishing Elk, Middle and Russel Tanks.
